ROLE PURPOSE/ SUMMARY
Better Start is a Government initiative. It is fully funded by the
Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth
and is hosted by Pobal on behalf of the Department.
In response to a request by the Department of Children, Equality,
Disability, Integration and Youth, Better Start set up an on-site play
facility for children of families arriving from Ukraine to the City
West Conference Centre transit hub in March **Apply on the website**.
Specifically the brief was to resource and oversee an onsite play
facility for children (all ages) in refugees? arrival centre on a 7
day basis, for an initial 3 month period which could extend, subject
to need.
Pobal now wishes to recruit a dedicated team of play facilitators to
provide this service on a longer term basis.
The current Citywest play environment operates from 8am ? 9pm, 7
days per week and therefore staff employed will be scheduled to work
on a rota basis on 7.5 hours per day/ **Apply on the website** hours
per week, which will include evening and weekend work. As the context
for this work can change rapidly, the roles will be required to be
flexible and adaptable to changes that may arise over time
The successful candidates will be working primarily in the Citywest
location with team and other meetings taking place in the Company?s
Dublin Offices. Based on the changing nature of the Ukraine emergency
response, the primary location and work programme may be adapted over
time
